We are seeking an energetic and experienced Director to join our team! You will be designing and starting a child care center and preschool from the ground up. You will work closely with the owner on specific duties and responsibilities yet retain extensive autonomy on others.
Responsibilities
Administering finances, personnel, maintenance, meal planning and preparation and transportation.
Administering the facility's program objectives and activities.
Overall program planning.
Written evaluation of staff persons on a regular basis, a minimum of one evaluation every 12 months.
Community advocate on behalf of the center.
Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
Communicate with parents and other school personnel
Assess students’ skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
This position requires a passionate creative person who is willing to work hard but also provides plenty of flexibility for personal family time.
Qualifications:
An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years experience with children.

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
Problem solving and mediation skills
