  • Responsibilities

    PV Performance Analyst/Engineer Primary Responsibilities:

    • Monitoring PV sites with active O&M agreements to perform daily production reviews
    • Monitor and analyze solar resource data, PV performance data, and operations data from PV plants to compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports
    • Managing and improving O&M database and file storage procedures

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

    • Production analysis with PVsyst and P50 Production and Insolation models for DAS and SCADA systems.
    • Working knowledge with handling large data sets, and analysis tools
    • Develop maintenance strategies based on project data & industry best practices.
    • Define/maintain the process and procedures for delivery of O&M services that meet contractual requirements
    • Maintain a database of solar sites under contract including service records and any requirements of each contract.
    • Ensure compliance with the various obligations in the O&M agreement
    • Be able to clearly explain system performance
    • Travel to project site locations to assist O&M field activities as needed
    • Assist in process and procedure development and revision
    • Become familiar with the requirements of each O&M agreement

    PREFERRED ACUMEN:

    • Proficient in Excel
    • Database management experience
    • Digital document storage
    • Organization in file structure
    • Self-motivated and independent in problem solving

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Working knowledge, skills, and abilities with construction and maintenance of solar PV power plants
    • Strong knowledge of PV devices, system design
    • Experienced with PVSyst and other PV software/models
    • Working knowledge with handling large data sets
    • Exhibits exceptional analytical skills and abilities and be able to think outside of the box and find creative solutions to any daily challenges encountered
    • Ability to prepare effective technical reports
    • Understands solar PV performance metrics
    • In depth understanding of contractual terms and concepts in relation to O&M agreements and equipment warranty's
    • Must be willing to travel and work non-standard hours when required
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Unrestricted driver's license

    DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

    • Degree in Renewable Energy or a degree of Technical equivalence/relevance
