    PaaS / SaaS Sr. Technical Writer – Onsite in Redwood, California \- Salary: $120,000 annually

    TWCS is seeking qualified technical writers to include in our proposal to support a leading enterprise AI software provider in Redwood, California.

    Job Description:

    Work with developers and data scientists who build, customize, and maintain AI applications. In the Technical Writer role, you will create, assimilate, and communicate technically accurate content clearly and concisely, update existing documentation, perform gap analysis, create conceptual and how-to documentation, instructional content, API reference guides, and code samples, and perform end-to-end testing to support application development.

    Documentation will support developers, data scientists, and data integrators who develop and extend AI applications, design, and train models, and use batch and streaming web services methods to integrate data sources on PaaS architecture.

    Technical Writer will become a solution expert and serve as a liaison between engineers, product managers, and customers. You will be expected to learn complex technical information and work both collaboratively and independently to produce technical documentation. Successful candidates will be self-directed, passionate about technology, able to produce high-quality documentation, and motivated to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment. If selected for an interview, work samples will be requested.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
    • 6+ years of technical writing experience, including experience researching and writing excellent developer documentation.
    • Experience writing Enterprise PaaS and SaaS documentation.
    • Familiar with AI, ML, and NL model concepts.
    • Proven experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and translating business needs into functional specifications.
    • Experience using Visio, SnagIt, or similar graphic design tools.
    • Knowledge of basic front-end web development languages (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.)
    • Ability to read code and write code examples (preferred).
    • Familiar with Python, Jupyter Notebooks preferred.
    • Familiar with Docs as Code model of documentation (e.g., Markdown, GitHub, Jenkins).
    • Familiar with Agile development environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across functional units.
    • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and make independent judgments.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
    • Key Responsibilities:

      • Write topics, create technical developer guides, and enhance existing content for the engineers, application developers, data scientists, and data integrator audiences.
      • Create gap analysis for your assigned areas, and collaborate with other writers, developers, product managers to improve content.
      • Manage complex documentation projects with a focus on maintaining high standards for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
      • Communicate with management and project stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, including conflicts and resolution plans.
      • Collaborate closely with team members, refining standards, procedures, tools, etc., to help the entire organization successfully deliver content at a consistently high standard.

    Education/Citizenship Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship)
    • Must consent to and obtain a clear security background check.
