PACIFIC COAST FRUIT COMPANY is a local, family-owned produce distributor that has proudly served our Pacific Northwest retail, wholesale and food service customers since 1977. We are now one of the largest independent produce distributors in the Northwest with distribution centers in PORTLAND, OREGON and SEATTLE (KENT), WASHINGTON.

We’re busy and are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to fill a HR REPRESENTATIVE POSITION in our KENT office. The HR representative is a crucial part of the Human Resources team, responsible for engaging with both current and prospective employees to maintain a culture consistent with the values of our company. You must be passionate about both performance and culture!

WHAT YOU’LL DO…

• Collaborate with and support HR Manager and other leaders in hiring great candidates.
• Partner with employees to create a positive and mutually beneficial experience.
• Build relationships based on trust and credibility.
• Execute job offers, pre-employment drug tests, and background checks.
• Assist with onboarding to ensure a great start for new employees.
• Perform a variety of HR tasks to shape and represent an experience for both employees and candidates which is consistent with the organizational and community values of Pacific Coast Fruit Company.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR…

• Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in fast paced, dynamic environments is a plus.
• Ability to produce high quality work, be flexible, and anticipate business requirements.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to engage others in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
• Ability and desire to work as part of a collaborative team.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate policies, common sense, judgment and business needs.
• A great sense of humor and the ability to view challenges as opportunities, not crises.
