TITLE: MARKETING SPECIALIST
REPORTS TO: MARKETING MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist will provide support to the credit union’s marketing and communication efforts. They will assist in day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department as well as directly influence the success of various marketing initiatives including campaigns, programs and projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with a wide range of marketing initiatives, including developing and implementing marketing, email and social media campaigns from concept to design and execution
- Provide copywriting for marketing campaigns and collateral
- Help plan, coordinate and ensure proper execution of special events
- Assist with the design and creation of print and digital marketing content
- Assist with developing strategies and campaigns to grow and enhance our social media marketing
- Help track and analyze program performance
- Research when needed (industry trends, competitive offerings, marketing methods, target audience) and provide actionable insight
- Assist with product and service development
- Represent the credit union at outreach events by talking with potential and current members about our products and services
- Update and maintain marketing channels and materials including web site, social media, and other digital media and collateral
- Maintain and update department records and provide other administrative support as needed
- Work with vendors and source new vendors as needed to perform marketing-related services
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business or any related degree
- Equivalent experience in the above-mentioned studies
- Working knowledge of social media platforms and strategies
- Understanding of marketing concepts, social media, and email marketing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Familiar with Adobe Design Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Keen attention to detail along with organizational and project management skills
- Self-starter and able to work independently as well as within a team environment
· Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Completes all required training as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Performs primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting to 20 lbs. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled office environment. Must be able to go up and down stairs/ ladders when required. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer (keyboard/ten key) for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to operate routine office equipment (phone, copier, fax, calculator, etc.) Must be able to work extended hours when required or requested. Must be capable of regular and timely attendance.
