    Job Description

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Assist plan participants, beneficiaries and providers in understanding and utilizing the benefits available through the plans administered by PSWA. Answer telephones, greets and routes walk-in guests, responds to inquiries regarding available types of benefits, eligibility and enrollment. Performs general clerical duties to support the daily business activities of the locations. 

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    ·         Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience is required.

    ·         BA Degree or equivalent experience.

    ·         Taft Hartley experience and/or experience processing medical claims, pension applications, and/or benefit eligibility and enrollment is              preferred.

    ·         BA Degree or equivalent experience.

    ·         Customer Service Call center experience.

    ·         Ability to positively and professionally manage challenging service situations.

    ·         Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.

    ·         Able to clearly and effectively express verbally and in writing; proper use of grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and correct spelling is              required.

    ·         Fluent bilingual English, Ilkano and Tagalog is helpful.

    ·         Able to read, analyze, comprehend, and disseminate information from computer systems and legal documents.

    ·         Ability to function calmly in a fast paced environment handling multiple priorities simultaneously with high level of detail orientation.

    ·         Able to deal with situations of a dynamic nature; to be able to modify plans, actions, and decisions in light of changing situations and              circumstances.

    ·         Able to demonstrate an understanding, and the regular use, of a time management process; to work in an organized way; to work                    efficiently and effectively.

    ·         Ability to lift, push and pull up to 10 pounds.

    ·         Able to use a desktop computer, to be able to operate menu driven window software and to be proficient in the use of Windows                         programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    ·         Other work related duties as assigned.
