Job Description

Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour

Shift Hours 3:15pm - 11:45pm

• Obtain work schedule, obtain paperwork, and prepare for operations.
• Report to assigned workstation and obtain tools, check equipment, and check recipe as required.
• Set up tape machine that include Image code dater set up according to line specific items and QC code date specifications.
• Re-assemble FUJI wrapper, chain, and platform. Change film as needed. Put Markem characters and ink. Adjust all other equipment needed such as metal detector, accumulation table, tape machine and conveyor.
• Set up KALLFASS/heat tunnel machine’s for specific items. Put on KALLFASS film roll and add film roll when needed and any adjustments needed.
• Monitor the process, check fill line, complete quality checks, and make minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Receive conveyed food product and hand wrap the filled tortillas to specific wrap configurations.
• Obtain assembled box and set on worktable.
• Obtain wrapped or frozen individual wrapped food products (burritos, taquitos, enchiladas, tacos, and flautas) from carousal and pack into master cases or inner cartons according to specific packaging configurations as required.
• Assemble inner cartons, pack wrapped, and unwrapped food products into inner carton and seal carton as required.
• Place full master cartons onto roller conveyor as required.
• Fix jams, peels burritos and rework product as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and the safety regulations

• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely
• Must meet the company standards for the job
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Must be able to understand and follow all written SSOP’s
• Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Understanding of warehouse management software and hardware preferred. We use WMS on computers and scan guns to control our inventories.
• Technical ability to change rolls of labels and ribbons, as well as troubleshoot problems
• Will need good verbal and written communication skills.
• Will need to communicate verbally and through emails with corporate IT, R&D and help desk regarding changes to labels or issues observed during normal job functions.
• Will need to coordinate with production and QA regarding label needs, changes or training.
