    Job Description

    UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) , a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a Full-time employed position available for a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join their inpatient team at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD.

    Nurse Practitioner Job Details:

    • Inpatient position focused on providing consultative pain management
    • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to patient-centered care.
    • Position is responsible for performing medical and psychosocial evaluation of patients with acute and chronic pain
    • Provide patient support from inpatient care to home through medication conversions and connections with community providers
    • Promote work-life balance with Monday through Friday work schedule. No weekends, no call requirements.
    • Collaborate with colleagues at UM Upper Chesapeake Health and University of Maryland Medical System to promote best practice and high-quality care.
    • Participate in opioid stewardship programs and experience supportive peer support program resources
    • Experienced nurse practitioners with experience in pain management are encouraged to apply.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Education & Training:** **** Nurse Practitioner with appropriate Maryland licensure and credentialing to practice under the supervision of a physician, in the state of Maryland. ANCC or ASPMN certification in Pain Management is preferred.

    ** Work Orientation & Experience** : A minimum of five years of direct patient care experience in internal medicine or pain management. Experience is appropriate to the management of complex acute / chronic pain management with issues of chronic disease.
