    Tampa, Florida, United States (On-site)

    Job Description

    About Our Client:

Our client is at the forefront of transforming musculoskeletal (MSK) care, with a mission to set a new gold standard in the field. They are committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and experiences through scalable, standardized care that aligns the interests of payers, primary care physicians (PCPs), and specialists.

The current system often forces patients to navigate a confusing maze of providers, treatment options, and insurance requirements, leading to frustration, wasted resources, misdiagnosis, and mistreatment. Our client aims to radically improve how musculoskeletal issues are addressed within the U.S. healthcare ecosystem and is seeking clinicians who are passionate about high-quality, evidence-based medicine, innovative care models, and the use of advanced technology.

    About the role:

In this role you will be a member of the on-the-ground care team to deliver outstanding care.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work with a multidisciplinary team including orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, sports medicine doctors, physical therapists, and behavioral health professionals to provide pain management for patients with musculoskeletal issues.
    • Manage opioids and other controlled substances for patients enrolled in the Pain Management Program.
    • Collaborate with clinical providers and ancillary staff to deliver effective, evidence-based care.
    • Partner with PCPs, specialists, surgeons, and physical therapists to provide exceptional, value-based care.
    • Help to define and refine the company's Medication Management Model.
    • Work with the Chief Medical Officer to define structured care pathways and protocols for conservative MSK care.
    • Collaborate with the Head of Product to create an effective and satisfying patient experience.
    • Partner with the Head of Clinical Operations to ensure efficient patient management across care settings.
    • Provide approximately 16-24 hours/week of clinical services under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant education, licensure, and practice experience.
    • Licensed to practice in the state of Florida.
    • Have practiced for at least 2 years with experience prescribing opioids for chronic, non-malignant pain.
    • Aligned with the model of evidence-based musculoskeletal care.
    • Belief that more care is not always better and that excessive reliance on surgery, imaging, and medications can be detrimental.
    • Interest in working within a collaborative care team environment with physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and health coaches.
    • Flexible and collaborative, with an interest in refining the care model.
    • Relevant work experience, including practice within a musculoskeletal or multidisciplinary setting.
    • Experience collaborating with care providers to develop care programs, implementing new clinical technology, creating clinical care guidelines, and providing telehealth solutions.
    • Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
