    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apartment Painter to join our maintenance team. The Apartment Painter will be responsible for painting and maintaining the interior and exterior surfaces of our apartment units and common areas. This role is crucial in ensuring that our property remains aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained for current and prospective residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Surface Preparation:

    Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, sanding, and cleaning.

    Protect surrounding areas and furniture using drop cloths or masking tape and paper.

    Painting:

    Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.

    Use brushes, rollers, or spray equipment for application.

    Ensure smooth and uniform finish on all painted surfaces.

    Repair and Maintenance:

    Perform minor drywall repairs, including patching holes and smoothing surfaces.

    Address any painting-related maintenance requests from residents in a timely manner.

    Quality Control:

    Inspect completed work to ensure high standards of quality and durability.

    Retouch and correct any deficiencies as needed.

    Safety and Clean-Up:

    Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

    Dispose of hazardous materials according to local regulations.

    Inventory Management:

    Maintain an inventory of painting supplies and equipment.

    Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    Experience:

    Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a residential or commercial setting.

    Familiarity with various painting techniques and tools.

    Skills:

    Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for color and design.

    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

    Good physical condition, able to stand, climb, and lift for extended periods.

    Knowledge:

    Understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of painting materials.

    Basic knowledge of drywall repair and other minor maintenance tasks.

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Vocational training or certification in painting is a plus.

    Working Conditions:

    Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.

    Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.

    Occasional work at heights, using ladders or scaffolding.

    Compensation:

    Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
