  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Paralegal to join our New York office in June 2025. This is an entry-level position within the Paralegal Services Department, designed for individuals eager to support attorneys and professional staff with diversified case/deal management. The role involves direct interaction with various practice groups and requires a two-year commitment. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with preparation and court filing of pleadings and other court papers.
    • Help retrieve rules, regulations, and company profiles as needed.
    • Support document productions, transactions, and/or closings.
    • Assist in preparing for interviews, depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.
    • Conduct non-legal research using resources like Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other court-related websites.
    • Update attorney and case/deal team binders regularly.
    • Organize and manage both electronic and paper files, adhering to department-approved protocols and case management systems.
    • Ensure client files are maintained with integrity and accuracy.
    • Perform quality control of documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Support paralegals and attorneys across various practice areas.
    • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with firm software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn new software and operating systems.
    • Proficient in navigating various electronic databases and document repositories.
    • Excellent research skills and proficiency with tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Ability to assume increasing responsibilities with experience.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
    • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail.
    • Flexibility to travel and adjust work hours as necessary to meet business needs.

  • Compensation
    $60,000 per year
