    The Paralegal position is located in our downtown Chicago office and may be a hybrid position after successfully achieving competency in the role.

    Summary

    The Litigation Paralegal provides support to attorneys by preparing documents, filing pleadings and motions in the various court systems, managing case files, scheduling various matters, and facilitating communication between attorneys and clients.

    The Litigation Paralegal supports the mission and goals of Disparti Law Group by providing support to ensure smooth legal operations and exceptional customer service to clients, vendors and internal team members.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    The Litigation Paralegal does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    Essential Functions

    1. Assist in document preparation, organization and management to support litigation cases
    2. Collaborate with attorney in preparation and filing of legal documents
    3. Coordinate with the attorney’s calendar to schedule depositions, motions and meetings
    4. Coordinate with clients and other parties to gather information for cases
    5. Manage case files and maintain accurate, timely records within the case management system
    6. Support attorney during trial preparation and court proceedings
    7. Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines throughout the litigation process
    8. Assist in project management tasks related to litigation matters
    9. Special projects, as assigned

    Required Skills/Abilities

    Proficiency in filing in the various court systems and jurisdictions

    Strong writing skills for drafting clear documents and communications

    Exceptional customer service skills

    High attention to detail; highly organized

    Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

    ****Education & Experience

    Some college, paralegal certification preferred

    Experience working in a law office, personal injury experience preferred

    Experience with legal case management software
