Responsibilities: • Keep up-to-date with MCLE credits to maintain compliance standards. • Conduct client intake processes efficiently and effectively. • Manage timekeeping tasks to ensure accurate tracking of billable hours. • Independently conduct thorough legal research when required. • Prepare legal documents such as briefs, discovery, motions, and responses with attention to detail. • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and other relevant parties. • Organize and oversee client files to maintain organization and accessibility. • Utilize Odyssey eFile CA to file necessary forms with the court promptly. • Adhere to filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions. • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients to address their needs effectively. Qualifications: • To be considered for this Paralegal position focusing on Family Law in Atascadero, CA, US, you must possess a Paralegal Certification or demonstrate the ability to fulfill the associated responsibilities effectively. • Accreditation from MCLE is necessary for this role. • Proficiency in handling Judicial Council Forms, Microsoft Suite, MyCase, and Odyssey e-File CA is essential. • Strong written, verbal, and research skills are a must-have. • Experience in drafting petitions, complex pleadings, financial affidavits, and discovery is required. • Being organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively are key characteristics we seek in applicants. • The ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and take initiative independently or as part of a team is crucial. • Excellent customer service skills, professionalism in client and coworker interactions, and ideally, prior experience in family law are highly desirable for this role.
