  • Responsibilities

    Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited institution required.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

     

    • Conduct legal research ranging from basic to advanced levels.
    • Analyze enrollment/licensing requirements and application processes.
    • Liaise with public servants regarding pending applications.
    • Manage multiple detailed tasks simultaneously.
    • Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in responding to shifting demands.
    • Translate regulatory application information into client-friendly questions.
    • Accurately track billable hours and maintain form documents.
    • Uphold client confidentiality.
    • Understand healthcare provider regulatory entitlements and sequencing.
    • Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Provide support for corporate and transactional matters.

     

    Requirements:

     

    • Paralegal certificate or meet the California Professional Code § 6450(c) requirements.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience as a regulatory specialist in a related field.
    • Corporate background preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Pro; familiarity with Excel is a plus.
    • Experience with Medicare PECOS and Medi-Cal PAVE portals is advantageous.
    • The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information between clients and regulators.
