    As a Workers' Compensation Case Handler at Otero Law, PC, you will manage a caseload of clients who have suffered workplace injuries. Your role will involve coordinating with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to ensure timely and effective case resolution. You will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate the complex workers' compensation system while ensuring that they receive the benefits and care they deserve. This role does not only have the support from our Attorney-at-Law but also assistance from a legal assistant, that will assist with the coordination of case management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Case Management:

    Oversee and manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from intake to resolution.

    Maintain detailed and organized case files, including client communications, medical records, and legal documents.

    Client Communication:

    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress, answering questions, and offering support.

    Coordination:

    Schedule and coordinate medical appointments, treatments, and medical examinations for clients.

    Work closely with attorneys to gather necessary documentation and evidence to support the client's case.

    Communicate with insurance adjusters to facilitate claims processing and negotiate settlements.

    Documentation:

    Prepare and file necessary paperwork with insurance companies, courts, and other relevant entities.

    Ensure that all deadlines are met and that cases are handled in compliance with state and federal regulations.

    Support:

    Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.

    Monitor the status of each case to ensure it progresses smoothly and efficiently.

    Qualifications:

    Fluent in Spanish and English (speaking and writing with proper grammar and spelling).

    2+ years of experience in workers' compensation case management.

    Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures.

    Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure.

    Proficiency with case management software (e.g. MerusCase)

    Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    Technologically savvy, preferably Apple Tech.

    Strong customer service skills.
