  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Senior Paralegal (Litigation) to join our Firm. This senior-level position will be based in our New York office with a hybrid work arrangement. The Senior Paralegal will utilize litigation experience and knowledge to assist with advanced, complex tasks throughout all phases of litigation work, while providing guidance to legal practice assistants, paralegals, attorneys, and other professionals.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and assist with the preparation and filing of Federal and State Court pleadings and other court papers.
    • Provide assistance throughout all phases of discovery, including document review, production, and depositions.
    • Assist with preparation for interviews, depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.
    • Proofread motions, letters, and other documents.
    • Review motions, briefs, and other court papers, including cite-checking, shepardizing, and document formatting.
    • Handle complex filings, including confidential filing procedures and exhibits.
    • Coordinate with Managing Law Clerks and others for deadlines, filings, and distribution.
    • Conduct complex searches, code, and pull documents in Relativity databases.
    • Prepare and finalize privilege and redaction logs.
    • Manage multiple deadlines and delegate tasks as necessary.
    • Maintain litigation case files within department-approved protocols and improve workflows.
    • Organize and manage electronic and paper files, ensuring client file integrity.
    • Perform non-legal research using tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, SEC/EDGAR, and other resources.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to case teams and junior paralegals.
    • Ensure effective interpersonal communication within teams and departments.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of Federal and State Court rules and procedures (civil and criminal).
    • Experience with government investigations, including SEC and DOJ investigations.
    • Advanced experience with complex court filings (both paper and e-filing formats).
    • Proficiency with Excel and electronic databases.
    • Knowledge of Relativity and other e-discovery tools such as TextMap and CaseMap.
    • Strong research skills using tools like Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and financial services websites.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive matters.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Ability to prioritize work and manage shifting priorities.

     

    Experience/Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Minimum of six years of related experience.

     

  • Compensation
    $110,000-$125,000 per year
