Marsden Law PC, a boutique Trusts and Estates law firm is seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented person to take on a full-time position as a Paralegal for its estate planning, probate, real estate, and Medicaid practice. We are looking for a paralegal who can help people understand the importance of estate planning and navigate the probate court system. We need someone who can manage a real estate closing from start to finish, as well as support our Medicaid caseworker and attorney. We need a skilled writer and proofreader who can organize your thoughts into writing and focus on the task at hand. We also need someone who understands how to communicate directly with clients and provide outstanding customer service. We want to be known for helping clients come out of an extremely emotional process feeling as though they are a better person, in a better position, and that they had a team behind them that really cared and fought for them. We are growing fast, and we need a Paralegal who can hit the ground running. Responsibilities: • Preparing estate planning documents like wills, living wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and trusts • Preparing and electronically filing probate court documents • Assisting attorneys in estate planning and probate cases • Talking with clients and potential clients to answer their questions and provide reassurance when needed • Research legal issues • Preparing correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and potential clients • Managing client information and organizing client files • Handling a real estate closing from start to finish • Assisting the attorney in the filing and tracking of a MassHealth application Qualifications: • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook • Strong proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Clio • Superb writing/editing skills • Excellent proofreading skills • Strong attention to detail in documents • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently under tight deadlines • Demonstrated professional demeanor • Paralegal certificate or degree Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly
