We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our family law legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as initial pleadings, motions, and affidavits, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer • Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems • Job duties include addressing client issues through email, zoom, and phone contact • Handle attorney calendars, set mediation, and court hearings, draft legal documents, coordinate with other staff members on administrative matters, and be an active team member of our firm • Take care of administrative tasks such as maintaining an organized filing system, and scheduling appointments for two attorneys • Handle time and billing for self and two attorneys daily and be responsible for accurate accounting of WIP on a twice-monthly basis • Be willing to maintain a good work/personal life balance to be a happy and contributing member of our group Qualifications: • Talented communicator and writer • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education • 1 -3 years of family law experience • Must be an MN resident and able to work in Maple Grove MN Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly DOE
