Paine Hamblen seeks an accomplished paralegal to join our team. Successful candidates should have at least three years of experience in civil litigation defense, a legal environment supporting an attorney or a judge, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. In this role, you will support attorneys with diverse caseloads and practice areas. For qualified candidates with three years of experience, the expected hourly rate will range from $30-$34, in addition to monthly performance bonuses. Compensation will be determined based on the individual’s qualifications and experience. Medical, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage are paid 100% by the Firm. Dental coverage is offered but paid for by the employee. The Firm also contributes 3% to an employee’s 401(k) plan with an additional match contribution of up to 6% of the employee’s compensation depending on the employee’s contribution. Responsibilities: In this role, you will support attorneys with diverse caseloads and practice areas. Such duties include preparing and filing pleadings; drafting discovery; summarizing deposition transcripts; preparing medical chronologies; proofreading; redacting documents; assisting with hearings and trial preparation; communicating with clients and witnesses; and other ad hoc paralegal duties. Qualifications: • US Work Authorization • At least three years of experience in civil litigation defense in a legal environment supporting an attorney or judge • Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules and procedures • Case management • Excellent organization and attention to detail • Strong communication skills • Skilled at time management and working effectively under pressure in a high-paced atmosphere Compensation: $30 - $34 hourly
