    Training & development

    70% Residential Treatment-Direct Care Services

    1. Provide direct care services (basic needs) to children residing in a residential group home.
    2. Instruct and supervise consumers in various settings, including the community to develop self-control social, educational, communiction and vocational skills.
    3. Provide information to and consult with guardians and consumers on person centered plans and other issues.
    4. Guide and instruct consumers toward the accomplishment of goals within person centered plan.
    5. Asses and monitor a consumer's progress and psychiatric/emotional stability.
    6. Maintain composure in intense situations that may arise when grossly inappropriate behaviors occur.
    7. Effectively calm consumer through verbal non-aggressive techniques ot protective NCI A&B interventions.
    8. Assist consumers with necessary treatment and service needs.
    9. Assist in the daily operations of the home; meal planning, activities, housekeeping, etc.
    10. Provide mental health and substance abuse education and support to consumers and families.
    11. Provide intensified structure and supervision to consumers at all times.

    20% Medical Records

    1. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of needs for all services to the consumers.
    2. Insure all services provided and service outcomes for all assigned clinical cases and services are in accordance with North Carolina DD/MH/SAS standards.

    10% Organizational Support

    1. Attend and participate in clinical training, in-service training, workshops and conferences.
    2. Attend and participate in scheduled all administrative staff meetings as assigned.
    3. Serve on internal agency committees, such as tasks forces, QA/QI, employee committees, etc.
    4. Provide special consultation in consumer and stakeholder satisfaction studies and other quality improvement activities.
    5. Participate in scheduled clicinal and administrative supervision meetings and activities.
    6. Maintain and enhance clinical skills through professional readings and attendance at recommended training events.
    7. Other related job duties and activies.
