Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Special Education Paraprofessional to support our K-1 classroom. This classroom currently serves eight students, with the potential to grow to ten. The students have diverse social-emotional needs, including ADHD, autism, and other behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will assist with daily classroom activities, provide behavioral support, and help create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and redirect behavior, collaborating with two other classroom adults
• Escort students to and from lunch, recess, and specials
• Assist in implementing behavioral interventions and positive reinforcement techniques
• Participate in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training provided by the school
• Support students in developing social-emotional skills within a structured setting

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Paraprofessional License
• Previous experience working with children with special needs is preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach
