Job description
The Parent Partner is responsible for providing services to clients and family members. This role involves helping clients connect with family members by organizing consistent meetings, calls and visits. This role requires an individual who is able to multi-task and has empathy to connect with families of varying socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide referrals to parents/caregivers of assigned clients.
Timely completion of DMH documentation and strong organizational skills.
Assist in crisis and symptom management.
Work directly with assigned parents/caregivers to create the best possible connection between the client and family members
Will be required to participate in required training.
Must have excellent organizational skills and must complete all required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Will be responsible for transporting clients to each visit
Facilitate contact between social workers and parents/caregivers
Advocate for increased contact for clients when appropriate
Monitor and document client visitation
Schedule visits for clients following the guidelines in each court case
Communicate with the clinician to anticipate potential triggers for clients regarding caregiver/parent interaction
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to pass an FBI and DOJ background check
Have a valid California Driver License and able to provide a DMV History report
Bachelor's Degree
Must have at least 100 hours working with children and/or completion of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care or
Relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, or caregiver or other relevant experience as determined by AGC
Willing to complete TB test and physical.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations: To keep the staff and clients safe, many policies are being enforced. Staff and clients will undergo daily temperature checks and masks are required to be worn by staff during their entire shift. Staff and clients must get tested weekly.
