**** Position Overview: The RVT is supervised by the Hospital Manager. They must be a dependable, compassionate, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong team spirit. They must apply good human relation skills, good animal handling skills, and be an effective communicator. The Supervisor must apply leadership skills, improvement skills appropriate for the area of responsibility, and must project a professional image. **

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactively resolve and deescalate any concerns while approaching discussions with empathy
• Oversee department cleaning, stocking, and inventory
• Collaborate with departments on patient care and operations
• Perform technician or assistant duties as needed
• Train, mentor, or onboard new and existing staff
• Schedule and monitor staff; minimize overtime
• Efficiently share hospital policies and any updates
• Anesthetize and monitor animals under supervision
• Perform dental prophylaxis and dental imaging

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 2 years of RVT experience
• Leadership experience is a plus
• RVT, LVT, or CVT certification required
• Confidence with anesthesia monitoring, dental assisting, and pre/post op care
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and calculations
• Be a strong patient advocate
• Work well with a dynamic team and effectively communicate
• Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, that requires lifting (up to 50 pounds), cleaning, and constant motion
• Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors

Available Schedule: Full-time position, shifts will be 8 hours - 4 days a week with rotating Saturday's

• We are open: M-F 8am-6pm
• Saturdays 8am-2pm
• Closed Sundays
