Part-Time Behavioral Support Professionals Wanted!
Are you a compassionate and skilled professional with a passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)? We're seeking dedicated Direct Support Staff who are experienced in ABA techniques and ready to make a meaningful impact on the life of a young adult. If you have a strong behavioral background and are ready to help others thrive, we want you on our team!
Available Shifts:
Two afternoons a week start time between 3:30 and 5 pm and end time around 9:00 PM
Occasional weekend shift available on an as-needed basis, 4–5 hours
What You’ll Do:
Use ABA principles to enhance the quality of life for a young man.
Collaborate closely with a team of 11 professionals to implement his Positive Behavior Support Plan and Individualized Support Plan.
Ideal Candidate:
Has strong experience with ABA, particularly in working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
Is capable of independently following behavior intervention plans.
Is enthusiastic about engaging the client both at home and in the community, using behavioral strategies to improve social and adaptive skills.
Holds a clean driving record and has access to a reliable vehicle.
Your Essential Skills:
Proven experience in managing behavior support plans and using alternative communication methods such as PECS or AAC.
Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide direct support for a 190-pound adult male, both physically and behaviorally.
Previous experience working in environments that require positive behavioral supports and a deep understanding of ABA.
Bonus Points:
Experience as a Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) or in other behavioral health roles.
Onsite ABA-focused training provided.
A variety of behavioral certifications are welcome.
Requirements:
A relevant Bachelor’s degree or certification in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related fields (RBT, NADD, etc.).
Strong understanding of Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) and ABA methods.
Background in intellectual and developmental disabilities, especially autism.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Proficiency in teaching ADLs, maintaining positive relationships, and demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
