Part-Time Building Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
Schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1pm until 6pm
The Part-Time Building Maintenance Technician performs building operations, customer service, and community enhancement. This team player will complete or assist with electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other trades within commercial buildings. Daily duties include working with the property management team to perform preventive maintenance, respond to service tickets, and provide a safe environment for building tenants and visitors.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$28 to $30 per hour depending on experience
Uniforms are available at the time of hire
PRIMARY BUILDING ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform building and systems inspections, making necessary modifications to building systems
Complete Preventive and Corrective Maintenance requests professionally
Work with vendors to complete contracted work orders to meet expectations
Maintain records, reports, and evaluations, and provide recommendations regarding building maintenance operations
Identify and order parts, materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
Manage Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System (EMS) as needed
Maintain a clean engineering shop, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and general building appearance
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Perform related work as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
1 - 3 years maintaining equipment and systems in commercial buildings
Familiarity and abilities with HVAC equipment, Boilers and Chillers
Experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
Technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English
Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders.
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Must possess a Universal CFC certification
