Part-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Location: Red Mesa, AZ (Combination of On-Site and Telehealth)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents within the community. The position combines in-person services with the flexibility of remote telehealth sessions, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents, addressing diverse mental health needs.
- Conduct detailed psychiatric assessments, prescribe psychotropic medications, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Offer consultation and education to clinical medical and mental health staff regarding patient care and broader mental health topics.
- Ensure all patient interactions are documented in accordance with established policies and standards.
- Exhibit sensitivity to cross-cultural and language differences, utilizing interpreters when necessary for non-English-speaking patients.
- Participate in up to 100 hours annually of mandatory training and provide urgent/emergency psychiatric care as needed.
Schedule
- Four days per month: At least two days on-site at the Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC) Mental Health Services Department and two days via telehealth.
- Remote services delivered during clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Wednesdays: 12:30 PM–4:30 PM).
- No weekend, holiday, overtime, or on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited U.S. institution or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school accredited by NCFMEA and ECFMG.
- Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Hold a full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. Licenses must not have been restricted, suspended, revoked, or voluntarily surrendered.
- Ability to pass an extensive background security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience and passion for working with children and adolescents.

The Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC) is located in Red Mesa, Arizona, near the scenic borders of Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Opened in 2007, FCRHC offers a range of healthcare services, including family medicine, mental health, optometry, radiology, and more. The center is part of the Shiprock Service Unit and is committed to providing exceptional care to its diverse community.
