    Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced kitchen team member for a primary customer-facing Deli/Counter position. This diverse role requires top-notch customer service; slicing deli meats and cheeses to order; stocking and maintaining coolers (including retail coolers); packaging and labeling prepared foods; following all department procedures. Other duties will include some meat-cutting (hand-cut steaks, etc.), sausage grinding and you will assist food preparation as needed. In this position, you will work closely with the Chef and other team members in our upscale, family-owned community market. The ideal candidate is a reliable and responsible self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.

    Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service. We are a community market and we maintain a high standard of friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to our customers. Deli and Counter service. This is a customer-facing position. Duties include greeting customers, taking and filling their orders (deli meats and cheeses sliced to order, meats, seafood, prepared foods, etc.) Follow department procedures. Maintain meat/fish coolers daily, ensuring freshness and customer appeal; maintain retail coolers by checking dates, rotating stock and stock as needed; maintain kitchen supplies as needed; ensuring cleanliness and health department guidelines at all times. Assist Chef and other team members as needed. These duties include, but are not limited to, food prep, packaging and labeling prepared foods, meat-cutting, sausage-grinding, etc. Qualifications

    Must be 18 years of age

    High school diploma/GED required

    Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools

    Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
