    Position Title: Full-Time Elementary School Instructional Aide

    Grace Christian School, a private K-8 Christian School, is looking for a Elementary School Instructional Aide (grades K-2) for the 2024-2025 school year. Located on the east side of Columbus in Blacklick, OH, Grace Christian School is committed to providing an academically rigorous and solid Christian education to our diverse student body. At Grace, the integration of Biblical teaching in all areas and in all classes ensure that our students learn to see God in all facets of life. In our Christ-centered curriculum, God's word is the standard of truth and authority by which all subjects are taught.

    The primary duties of the Elementary School Instructional Aide include, but are not limited to:

    Contributes to school system’s effectiveness by supporting the classroom teacher during lessons and activities by preparing materials, including copying, collating, distributing, and/or grouping materials planned by the teacher

    Conveys information to students by using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids, such as audiovisual equipment and computers, as directed by the classroom teacher

    Guides students’ personal and social development by enforcing and adherence to rules and procedures for administrative matters, student verbal participation and student safety

    Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations regarding student supervision before and during school, on the playground, in the cafeteria, and while moving between classrooms

    Contributes to team effort by leading small group activities as planned and directed by the classroom teacher

    Contributes to spiritual growth of the program by being a Christian role model in the School and community

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or higher required

    Has, or willing to obtain, an educational aide certificate or substitute teaching license

    Previous experience as a teaching assistant is preferred

    Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

    Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    A love for the Lord and demonstrated understanding of biblical integration

    Ability to pass an FBI/BCI background check
