Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Grounds Helper to assist in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors. This position involves a variety of tasks related to landscaping, garden maintenance, and general grounds upkeep along with other maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all outdoor areas, including gardens, lawns, pathways, and parking lots.
- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, watering, and weeding.
- Assist in the inspection of grounds and facilities to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Use and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Remove debris, litter, and leaves from grounds, ensuring a clean and inviting environment.
- Collaborate with team members on projects and special assignments as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines related to landscaping and equipment operation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment and tools (e.g., lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Hours:
- Flexible part-time hours, typically 20 hours per week.
