Description:
Under the supervision of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts, the Therapist delivers intensive clinical therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults with diagnosed mental health or substance use disorders. The Therapist is responsible for engaging clients and their families or significant others in the mental health and substance use treatment process. This role includes conducting initial assessments, facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions, and participating in treatment planning to ensure comprehensive and continuous care that meets the needs of clients and their families.
General Duties and Responsibilities for Part-Time Outpatient Mental Health Therapist at Step-by-Step Behavioral Health:
Provide high-quality therapeutic services to a full caseload of clients in schools, homes, and community settings.
Achieve or exceed team standards for productivity, billing, and administrative tasks.
Complete intake assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, and Electronic Health Record System progress notes within the required timeframes.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Conferred Master’s degree and completed internship from an FL license-eligible program that allows the practitioner to register as an intern in the social work, therapeutic mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy disciplines.
You must have liability insurance.
Ability to pass a Level II background check.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and state-mandated vehicle insurance coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in providing therapeutic services to families and developing treatment plans aligned with current DSM/ICD diagnoses.
Bilingual in Spanish.
