    The Goddard School-Fayetteville (EAST) is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Music Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage young children (infant to 5 years old) in the joy of music, fostering their creativity and love for sound, rhythm, and movement. This position is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the musical development of young minds in a fun and supportive environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead Music Classes: Teach age-appropriate music lessons that include singing, dancing, rhythm exercises, and the use of simple instruments (e.g., tambourines, maracas, xylophones).

    Foster Creativity: Encourage children to express themselves through music, helping them develop early listening skills, coordination, and self-expression.

    Create a Positive Environment: Establish a nurturing and safe atmosphere where children can explore sound, music, and movement freely.

    Adapt Lessons: Tailor lessons to accommodate the developmental stages of children ranging from infants to preschoolers.

    Collaborate: Work with other teachers and staff to integrate music into daily activities and events.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred).

    Experience teaching music to young children (infant to 5 years old).

    A strong understanding of early childhood development and how music contributes to cognitive and social development.

    Proficient in playing basic musical instruments such as piano, guitar, or percussion (preferred).

    Ability to engage children through dynamic, fun, and interactive music activities.

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other educators and parents.

    Patient, caring, and able to adapt to the needs of young children.

    Skills and Competencies:

    Knowledge of age-appropriate music activities and learning techniques.

    Ability to create an inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged and valued.
