  • Responsibilities

    Part-time Nanny (Monday to Thursday only) required for a warm LES family with one son (turning one in May) starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing loving care and interacting with their son in an active, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. All child related duties are expected, including meals/snack preparation, facilitating play dates/activities, and light child related housekeeping. To be successful, you will need to be a calm, kind and gentle Nanny who enjoys partnering with hands-on parents and is looking to commit to a family who values strong communication. The parents are looking for an engaged individual who encourages creativity, facilitates learning in a playful manner and seeks a genuine connection with kids! The family only requires coverage Monday through Thursday - candidates working weekends, in grad school or looking for PT hours only would be a great match for this family!

    Location: LES, NY (Fantastic location near East River + surrounding parks)

    Start date: ASAP

    Days/times: Guaranteed 30 hours a week - Monday to Thursday - general schedule 9.30am - 5pm. Some flexibility would be ideal to flex earlier/later between Monday and Thursday (eg. babysitting, date nights, etc). No weekends, frequent travel or overtime is expected with this role.

    Children: One son (born May 2024)

    Conditions: $25 - $30 hour* (take home) plus sick days, public holidays, and two weeks paid leave per year

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 3-5 years preferred in NYC
    • Education or equivalent knowledge of stages of child growth and development
    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
    • Recent experience with infants + young toddlers
    • Desire to create fun and engaging age appropriate activities
    • Readiness to help with child light housekeeping as needed (son's laundry, upkeep bedroom and play areas, etc.).
    • Ability and interest to commit to a long term role (1-2 yrs plus)
