  • Responsibilities

    Part-time Nanny required for a warm and loving Westchester, NY family with two children, starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care, interacting with both children in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way, food prep/cooking, evening routines + light child related housekeeping. Both parents work in Manhattan and their current Nanny finishes at 6pm weekdays - consistent, part time evening and weekend hours are desired to support the family. Grad students, nannies, teachers or daycare providers looking for additional hours would be an ideal match for this family! The family is searching for a responsible, active and proactive individual who will be a respectful and trustworthy nanny. The family values a good attitude, and willingness to pitch in/team player mentality! Flexibility for additional hours as needed to accommodate parent's work schedules. A driver's license is required (family home is not easily accessible by public transport).

    Location: Scarsdale, NY

    Start date: ASAP

    Days/times: Family is flexible for the right candidate. Anticipated hours are 10-15 hrs to supplement the current full time nanny who finishes at 6pm.

    Family's schedule changes week to week, but weekday evenings as well as weekend hours are preferred to accommodate the parent's varying work commitments. The family is open to speaking with all strong candidates.

    Children: One son (born April 2021) + daughter (born July 2024)

    Conditions: $30/hr plus travel related expenses (if applicable)

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • Authorization to work in the US
    • A minimum of 2 years experience as a nanny, 3-5 years preferred
    • A well-suited demeanor for working with infants, toddlers and school age children
    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
    • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
    • Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, organizing, laundry, etc.)
    • A professional appearance
    • Drivers License with clean driving record
