Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with physician instructions and facility protocols.
- Monitor patients for medication side effects and report any concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist patients with daily living activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure patient care plans are effectively implemented.
- Participate in patient rounds and contribute to care planning discussions.
- Maintain a clean and organized medication area, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Educate patients and their families about medications, potential side effects, and health management.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent; certification in Medication Administration/Medical Technology preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Med-Tech or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of medication administration and potential side effects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking may be required.
- Must be able to perform tasks that require good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
