Responsibilities: • Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties • Establish a full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities • Promptly seat guests when they arrive, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time while accommodating any special requests • Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors Qualifications: • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • Outstanding time management and organizational skills • Previous experience working in food service is preferred • This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
