  • Responsibilities

    Part Time weekend Nanny (live-out) required for a Flatiron family with one child (toddler), starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care and interacting in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way with their son.

    To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone happy, proactive and engaged who is wanting to partner with the parents long term in a loving and friendly household. The ideal candidate is someone who can sustain active + busy days with an energetic toddler! The family values respect and kindness and are looking for a strong role model with a positive impact for their son. An open and direct communicator will be most successful with this family. Family keeps a vegetarian household.

    Flexibility is essential for this role - the family may travel on occasional weekends and would like the Nanny to be available when needed to support the family.

    Location: Flatiron, NYC

    Start date: ASAP

    Days/times: Friday, 2pm to 10pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm. Guaranteed ~15 hours per week/45 hours a month. General schedule would be 3 weekends per month of support.

    Children: One toddler boy (born Dec 2021)

    Conditions: $33 - $38 per hour* plus unlimited monthly Metrocard

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • Authorization to work in the US
    • A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 3-5 years + preferred in NYC
    • Experience and confident in navigating public transport
    • A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers and school age children
    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
    • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
    • Ability to commit long term to the family
    • Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, organizing, laundry, etc.)
    • Comfortable preparing meals and observing a meat free household during work hours
    • General upkeep and light housekeeping is expected (family does employ a cleaner)
    • Flexibility for domestic travel (with advance notice) as needed
