We are seeking a skilled Part-time Accountant to join our office in Austin, supporting our Group CFO and the global finance team. You will work with relevant third parties and be the first person to set up the finance department in the U.S. Your key role will involve improving our processes and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities
- Maintaining the General Ledger and related subsidiary accounts, assisting in preparing accurate monthly financial statements.
- Posting monthly journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, and performing month-end close duties.
- Assisting with financial consolidations and package preparation.
- Ensuring underlying accounting records comply with business policies, safeguarding the integrity of financial data.
- Collaborating closely with internal business partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all information requests.
- Improving or creating accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and creating comprehensive process documentation.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
- Taking ownership of the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of financial information.
- Taking an analytical approach to tasks, providing business insights.
- Ensuring compliance with the Internal Control System.
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other systems.
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
- Analyzing workflow processes and identifying improvements.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing vendors.
- Ensuring bills and payroll are paid accurately and on time, adhering to departmental procedures.
- Processing invoices for payment.
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, payment terms, and other charges.
- Processing transactions, maintaining accounts, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.
Your Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace/Google Suite (preferred).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and be self-sufficient.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of corporate information.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing business environment, while maintaining organization.
Salary Range
$58-$62/hour
