    We are looking for a Part-time and Hybrid Audit Accountant for our client, a well-established small accounting firm whose client is located in downtown Indianapolis. This role offers a hybrid work structure, combining in-office work in downtown Indianapolis with remote flexibility at home.

    Our client is looking for someone to assist with an initial catch-up project and is estimated at 15 to 20 hours per week starting in January. Upon successful completion of the project, there is potential for ongoing work on a monthly basis.

    The hourly rate ranges from $40-$50/hour, based on experience. This role is a contracted position as an auditor / accountant and will be issued a 1099 at year-end.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide audit and accounting support for initial project work and ongoing needs.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable audit standards, including Yellow Book education for single audits.
    • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and staff in a professional environment.
    • Utilize tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Teams efficiently.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience.
    • Must have access to a personal laptop for work purposes.
    • Non-profit experience is a plus.
    • Current Pro Advisor with QuickBooks and/or QuickBooks certified preferred.
    • Must have Yellow Book education for a single audit (20 hours of CPE).
    • Ability to commute to the downtown office.
    • Not afraid to ask questions.
    • Effective communication with all stakeholders and staff, including partners in a professional setting.
    • Experience with Microsoft Teams.
