At Engineering For Kids, we inspire kids ages 4 to 14 to build on their innate desire for answers by exploring engineering concepts in a fun, hands-on way. We offer afterschool programs, evening classes, camps, birthday parties, and special events designed to present kids with challenging yet accessible engineering activities from which they can learn and grow.

    Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and organized Part-Time Event Coordinator to join our team at Engineering for Kids Cypress-Katy. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about STEM education and enjoys planning and executing events that inspire and engage children. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and overseeing events, including STEM workshops, birthday parties, open houses, and special community events.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute STEM-related events, including workshops, birthday parties, open houses, and other special events.

    Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for event inquiries, coordinating with parents, vendors, and staff to ensure smooth event operations.

    Marketing & Promotion: Assist in promoting events through social media, email campaigns, and community outreach.

    Budgeting: Assist in managing event budgets and ensuring cost-effective execution.

    Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to parents and participants before, during, and after events.

    Post-Event Follow-Up: Collect feedback, analyze event success, and suggest improvements for future events.

    Qualifications:

    Experience: Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or a similar role is preferred.

    Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Passion: A genuine interest in STEM education and working with children.

    Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
