The Performance Janitorial Staff Members are responsible for caring for the lobby and theatre spaces before, during and after performances, including cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, addressing spills, and removing trash.

This job will be scheduled for 10-25 hours per week on evenings and weekends during the theatrical season (mid-September to mid-May).

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, take out trash, vacuum theatres and lobbies as needed prior to performances
• Be available during performances for any needs from the House Manager, refreshen restrooms, take out trash
• Post-performance, remove trash and put it in the compactor and assist in locking up
• Report any maintenance, supplies or other needs to the Building Manager
• Other duties as determined by the Building Manager

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred

• Housekeeping experience a plus

• Flexible and resourceful

• Ability to work responsibly unsupervised

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly

• Must frequently communicate with staff and patrons

• Must move about all offices/theatres

• COVID-19 vaccination, one booster, and proof of both vaccinations are required for employment at the IRT.
