Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication. We specialize in programs for children ages 2 through 8. We're passionate about what we do and are looking for equally enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
As a Part-Time Season Coordinator, you'll combine coaching responsibilities with administrative support to ensure smooth program operations. This dual role is ideal for individuals who love working with children and want to play a key role in creating an impactful experience for families in our community.
Responsibilities:
Coaching Duties:
Bring “Soccer Island” to life with your enthusiasm, creativity, and energy.
Conduct fun and engaging soccer sessions for children ages 2 to 8, including setting up and taking down the field.
Promote character development through positive reinforcement and by serving as a role model.
Follow Soccer Shots’ expert-created curriculum, integrating early childhood development teaching techniques.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants.
Ensure adherence to on-site safety protocols and maintain accurate attendance records.
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers before and after sessions.
Administrative Duties:
Organize and distribute registration forms, schedules, and promotional materials.
Track and maintain coaching equipment.
Assist with coach training preparations, including materials and logistics.
Prepare marketing materials, including flyers, emails, and newsletters.
Attend community events and lead demo sessions to promote Soccer Shots.
Manage social media content to engage families and promote upcoming programs.
Communicate with Center Directors, parents, and the Soccer Shots team to ensure smooth communication.
Qualifications:
No prior soccer or coaching experience is required, but enthusiasm for working with children and a passion for sports are essential.
Energetic, engaging, and responsible demeanor.
Safety-conscious mindset.
Adaptable and patient with children ages 2 to 8.
Physically able to demonstrate basic soccer skills and be active during sessions.
Must have or obtain state-required background clearances prior to starting.
Administrative Support Qualifications:
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with parents, Center Directors, and team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience with social media platforms and basic content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
Ability to troubleshoot minor issues independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Team-oriented with a proactive attitude toward improving operations.
Availability:
Part-time role, 15–35 hours per week during the season.
Commitment to an 8–12-week season with no scheduling conflicts.
Sessions take place Monday through Saturday mornings and/or Monday through Thursday evenings.
While schedules are set seasonally, we strive to accommodate availability preferences where possible.
