    The Church Parish Secretary plays a vital role in the operations of the church, ensuring smooth communication and efficient management of daily tasks. The Church Secretary will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and members, providing essential clerical support and maintaining accurate records.     Responsibilities

    Manage incoming calls and inquiries with professional phone etiquette, directing them to appropriate staff or departments.

    Perform data entry tasks, ensuring that all church records are accurately maintained and updated.

    Organize and file documents systematically for easy retrieval.

    Assist in proofreading church publications, newsletters, and announcements to ensure clarity and accuracy.

    Provide support to church leadership, including managing correspondence and preparing reports as needed.

    Support church activities by preparing materials for services, events, and community outreach programs.

    Maintain and update church weekly statistics documentation in Realm database

    Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Proven experience in a clerical role.

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Highly organized with document management experience

    Excellent typing skills.

    Comfortable with Microsoft Office & Excel. Constant Contact experience a plus.

    Proficient in data entry and strong proofreading skills with attention to detail to minimize errors.

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
