  • Responsibilities

    We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Real Estate Attorney to join our Long Island office. This position will future partnership opportunities for the right candidate. The role requires familiarity with real estate-related contracts (more details below) as well as assisting our transfer department (which closes Co-op transactions). We’re looking for someone who has 7-10 years of experience and is ready for the next step in their career. No book of business is required! This role provides a competitive salary, a range of health benefits with employer contribution, a 401k plan, a profit-sharing plan, some remote work opportunities, and a generous bonus program. Responsibilities: • Drafting contracts (AIA and other types); and other agreements (such as cell phone tower licenses, management agreements, etc.) • Drafting opinion letters concerning the interpretation of governing documents and local laws • Commercial Financing Transactions such as mortgage refinances • Employment law issues such as employment contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and severance agreements • Drafting letters to residents • Discrimination cases • Attending community meetings and community Board meetings • Client contact and interaction • Drafting Real Estate contracts • Assist with Co-op apartment transfer department Qualifications: • Must be admitted in NYS • Must have superior oral and written advocacy skills • 7+ years’ of real estate related transactional work • Knowledge of community association work Compensation: $150,000 +/- yearly DOE
