Title: Aerospace Parts Painter
Description/Summary:
The Aerospace Parts Painter, under the direction of the Production Manager, will be responsible for performing and overseeing a variety of tasks related to the painting of aerospace parts. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all parts meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing job orders to determine the specific requirements for each project.
- Interpreting blueprints to identify areas that require painting.
- Mixing paint according to precise specifications to achieve the correct consistency and color.
- Applying paint to parts, ensuring an even and optimal thickness.
- Maintaining a clean work environment, including booths and equipment, to prevent contamination.
- Carefully unmasking parts to avoid any damage.
- Inspecting painted parts for imperfections and making necessary corrections.
Required Experience:
- Proficiency in reading aerospace blueprints.
- Knowledge of various types of paints, including polyurethane, epoxy, and thermal barriers.
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in ratios and eddy currents.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
