Role

As a Human Resources Specialist (also known as HR Associate, HR Representative), you'll manage compliance with state and federal regulations, oversee safety and workers compensation programs, manage leaves, assist in employee relations, conduct new employee orientations, maintain HR database, and facilitate leadership training sessions. You'll also serve as the liaison between employees and third-party benefits administrators, handle administrative tasks related to employment status changes, and compile and administrate location AAP plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related experience in HR, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws, including: ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA, worker’s compensation, wage and hour laws, hiring practices, and EEO compliance. Ability to understand contractual language and Company policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and conduct daily duties in a professional manner and appearance.
• PHR certification is preferred.
