The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting raw materials, finished products, and equipment to and from manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers. They will operate semis, flatbeds, and loboys in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. The drivers will be responsible for the delivery of machinery from our home location to various local accounts and across the country. Fleet is maintained by the company.
Responsibilities:
Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment to and from manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers
Operate a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and flatbeds
Comply with state and federal laws and regulations
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
Maintain accurate and timely log books
Communicate with dispatchers to plan and coordinate deliveries
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Report any accidents, incidents, or violations to the appropriate authorities
Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and checking oil and other fluid levels.
*Job does require overnights away during the summer months, home weekends in addition to local deliveries during the fall and spring.
Qualifications:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
Good driving record with no major violations
Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug test
Strong time management skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with flatbed or box truck is a plus
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Must have knowledge of safety protocols and standards
