Summary/Objective:
The Recertification Specialist to manage a portfolio of Section 8 and LIHTC properties to ensure files are in compliance with federal, state and local agency requirements. Reporting to the Desk Compliance Manager and Regional Compliance Director.
Classification: Non-Exempt; overtime eligible
Hybrid Schedule- 3 days in office/2 work from home
**Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following: **
- Reviewing and approving all recertification and move-in packages prepared by site managers/Recertification Specialists;
- Working with the site management team and staff to ensure all recertifications and move-in files for Section 8, 236/Mitchell-Lama & LIHTC are completed timely and properly pursuant to agency guidelines;
- Generating and processing HUD EIV reports for site managers
- Assist with OCAF paperwork
- Supports Desk Compliance Manager with preparation of all Agency and Investor reporting
- Guides site managers on recertification corrections and questions
- Assist with Special projects and reporting as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree; required
- Proficiency with computers including knowledge of Excel, Yardi or similar Property Management software;
- Must be able to flourish in a fast-paced environment;
- Must have well developed organizational, communication and writing skills;
