Job Description

Social Services agency in Kearny, NJ is seeking a dynamic individual to work with individuals with disabilities by supporting them in finding job opportunities within the community and to provide them training in community-based jobs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide pre-vocational training 1:1.
• Job application.
• On the job training.
• Interview readiness.
• Resume completion/cover letter.
• Perform job development in the community.
• Conduct intake and assessments.
• Develop employment plan
• Identify barriers to employment to enable consumers to become job ready.
• Drive consumers to and assist with job interviews.
• Document services provided on activity log.

POSITION TYPE

Full Time, Monday - Friday (9AM - 5PM). Candidate must be willing to be flexible with their schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Driver's License and Associate's Degree Required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Specialization in Psychology, Social Services or related field is preferred. Experience training individuals with developmental disabilities to find and keep employment strongly preferred. APPLICANT MUST HAVE CERTIFICATION IN: Employment Specialist: Intro Level, Employment Specialist: Advanced Level & Job Coaching I. Prior experience in community job development.
