Patient Account Representative
Job Description
North Shore Health is hiring a Patient Account Representative. This position requires a minimum of 60 hours a pay period (PT), up to 72 hours (FT). The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for daily cash receipt posting and reconciling, follow up with patients on payment plans, accepting payments over the phone, collections of past due accounts and aiding those applying for financial assistance.
The PAR should strive to handle accounts in a manner which best affects collections and minimizes bad debts. A patient’s perception of North Shore Health, in most cases, can be enhanced by the proper handling of the account by the Patient Account Representative.
Days and hours may be flexible within a Monday – Friday schedule and can be determined upon hire.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Two years of office experience working with cashflow and Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work on your own, organizational skills and attention to detail is essential. Always maintain the strictest confidentiality. Proficient computer skills.
Education: High School Graduate
