Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Patient Coordinator with a strong business development focus to join our team at MD Spine Care & New Life Ortho. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional patient care while driving growth initiatives and improving operational efficiencies. This dual-role position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for healthcare, and a strategic mindset to engage with patients and elevate our services.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing compassionate support and assistance throughout their healthcare journey.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage calendars, and ensure timely follow-up and reminders.
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical histories to streamline the intake process.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and standards.
Business Development:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive strengths to inform growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including physicians, specialists, and community organizations.
- Develop marketing materials and assist in the execution of promotional campaigns to enhance visibility and outreach.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies.
Administrative Support:
- Assist in various administrative tasks, including billing inquiries, insurance authorization, and patient follow-ups.
- Contribute to team meetings and participate in the continuous improvement of processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the development and implementation of patient engagement programs, including workshops and health events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient coordination or business development.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, patient services, and insurance processes.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
